Mr Pond in Print

Unsettling Wonder is, for the moment, unsettled—I just have too much else to write to write about our dear old Kinder- und Hausmarchen—but it will return, never fear. For the moment, I wanted to give you some other fairy tales to read.

Issue 12 of Scheherezade’s Bequest is now online. Not only is this an exciting event of note at the best of the times, but Issue 12 features my re-imagining of a classic Russian folktale, as collected by the inimitable Andrew Lang.

So, rather than wasting your time reading my blethering on about a strange old woman and a talking rooster, go read the tale at the links above. There’s even a quotation from George MacDonald heading up my story, just to make it even more interesting.

Let me know what you think. Read and report.
